For Interstate calls, dial: Area Code + phone number

For International calls, dial: 0011 + country code + city code + Phone number

For subsequent calls, you do not need to hang up. Just press # twice or * twice at the completion of your first call. The keys you need to press may vary depending on which card you are using but the card or the recorded message will tell you which key to press.

Can I use any phone with my phoneard?
Yes. You can use any phone with your phoneard. This can be from your home phone, public phone or mobile. You can even use it from your office or friend¡¯s phone without the call being charged to them. If you are using a mobile to call, your mobile phone provider will still be charging you the cost of that mobile call to the access number

What are access numbers?
Each card will have its own access numbers. These will be the local numbers in the area that you are in (typically in all capital cities and major regional towns ie. In Sydney, it will be (02) xxxx xxxx). Most card providers also have a Freecall 1800 number or a 1300 number that you can call from anywhere. Each time you order your card from us, we will email you with the complete list of access numbers for that specific card and any additional costs for using the 1800 and 1300 access numbers.

What is the difference between 1800,1300 and Local call access?
Usually, there are surcharge per mins on phonecard by using 1800 and 1300 access. So whenever possible you should usually try to use the local access number provided. Most cards usually have local access numbers in most capital cities in Australia. The local access number cost the same price as local calls i.e.: around 20 cents from a home phone or 50 cents from a payphone for each call. However, some cards may not cover all capital cities or you may be in a country area. In this case if there is a 1300 number provided you should try to use it.The additional per minute cost of using the 1300 number is usually cheaper than using a 1800 number. If you are calling from a payphone, you do not need to enter any coins for a 1800 number whilst you will for the 1300 number. Please note that as phone card companies usually have different policies on 1300 and 1800 numbers the above are generalizations and there may be exceptions.

What is a flagfall or connection fee?
Some card providers charge a flagfall or connection fee. A flagfall or connection fee is a once off amount that is deducted for every call. This typically allows the provider to provide a cheaper per minute rate. This may be attractive for longer duration calls. Some card providers do not charge a flagfall or connection fee and may be better for shorter duration calls.

What is peak and off peak rates?
Some card providers have a 24 hour rate whilst some have a peak and off peak rate. The 24 hour rate means that you can call at any time and that rate will not change. Other card providers charge a higher amount during peak hours and charge a cheaper rate during off peak hours. This may be best suited for customers that ring outside the busy hours for greater cost savings. Click on our card description to check whether that card has a 24 hour rate or peak/off peak and what those periods are.

How do I know the balance of credits on my phoneard?
When you first buy your card, it will have the full amount registered against the serial number of that card. When you first dial in, you will have a recorded message informing you of the dollar amount that you have. When you make your second and subsequent calls, it will tell you the remaining balance on your card.

For every call that you make, the recorded message will also inform you of the number of minutes that you can talk for, to that destination.

Do the rates change?
Most card providers reserve the right to change their rates without prior notice. However, this does not happen frequently. we will endeavour to update our rate tables from our providers when we receive updates from them.

Will my phone card expire?
Yes, the cards will expire from the date of first use. Some cards expire after three months, some after six months and some longer. Check the description on the term and conditions of each card on our web page.

Who do I call when I have a problem with my card?
This is typically an infrequent event as most calls are made without difficulty. However, there may be rare occasions when you could experience problems with making a call to a particular destination. If you do encounter this or you have questions regarding any other specific feature or function of your card, you should call the relevant customer service department of that card.Every card provider has their own customer service department that have access to their systems that can view and/or correct your call history. Note that some are open only during business hours whilst some are available on a 24 hour basis. The customer service numbers are available from the Card Description section of our web site.

Will my cards work outside of Australia?
Most of the cards that we stock are for outbound calls from Australia. However, there are cards that can be used from outside Australia, however this will typically be from major countries only and will attract an International Freecall number fee.

Can I usually get through to the countries I need to ?
